Review policy

How reviews of CrowdHive reach this site, what a moderator checks, and how the rating on the homepage is calculated.

Effective 25 September 2026

Who writes the reviews

Every review on this site is written by the person named on it and submitted through our review form. We do not write reviews, we do not pay or reward anyone for a review, and we do not ask for positive reviews only. Authors confirm that the review describes their own experience and that they have received nothing in return for it.

What a moderator checks

A moderator reads each submission before it is published and either publishes it as written or rejects it. We never change the wording, rating or meaning of a review. A review is rejected only if it:

Critical and negative reviews that meet these rules are published exactly like positive ones.

"Verified investor" badge

A review carries the badge only when the author gave an email address and we were able to confirm that they hold a CrowdHive investor account. Reviews without the badge are not less genuine — the author simply chose not to be verified.

How the rating is calculated

The score on the homepage is the simple average of the overall star ratings of all published reviews. Category scores (returns, payouts, support, ease of use) average only the reviews that rated that category. The "What people say" summary is generated from the same published reviews. Until reviews are published, the site shows no score rather than an estimate.

Removing or updating your review

You can ask us to remove your review at any time through our contact page. If your experience changes, you are welcome to submit an updated review.

Our connection with CrowdHive

This site is connected with CrowdHive's marketing — see how we make money. That is exactly why reviews are published under the fixed rules above rather than selected by preference.
